THE BEST yellow cake and Devil’s Food cake donuts aren’t made in a donut shop—they’re made in a chocolate shop — MORKES. Every year I take a couple dozen to the family reunion picnic. Every year they’re the first thing to go!

I ordered a chocolate sculpture of a dog and it came out great. I had it sent to my mom's house for Christmas and she loves it. The manager helped me over the phone with the shipping and was very nice and answered all my questions. Will order again.

Not only delicious chocolates, candies, and fudge, but also unique gifts made out of chocolate! There's something for everyone! Their baked goods and fresh brewed coffee, pair well while sitting at a bistro table inside or outside at a larger table. Great Chocolatier that started their business in 1920 in Chicago and has a few locations now. A must visit if you love chocolate!

Went in there based on an article in Chicagoparent as a recommendation for hot chocolate. It was okay definitely had better was getting chunks towards the end. The kids enjoyed the apple caramel. We tried the clusters the toffee was a hit, the nut ones couldn’t taste the kinds of nuts…assuming they were a bit stale

I had never heard of Morkes until one day I was in Palatine on business and spotted this place out of the corner of my eye. I am so glad that I stopped in, for I was immediately transported to a magical world of old school charm and delicious treats, simply an unforgettable experience. A visit to Morkes is guaranteed to bring a smile to anyone’s face as it is indeed a reminder that the simple pleasures of life are indeed the tastiest!

Such a cute little place to get doughnuts, caramel apples, chocolate covered strawberries, truffles, chocolates or candy. Oh they have coffee too! It’s a great place to get a gift if your loved one likes sweets. Im addicted to their doughnuts. There are so many flavors. The cake doughnuts are perfectly fried, soft delicious inside with a sweet icing on top.

Stopped by seeing this sweet little independent Chocolate Shop in Rand Road. Inside is this well managed Chocolate wonderland, with lot of varieties of home made chocolate, freshly made donuts, and other treats. Bought home made chocolate mix and match ( they either give in a bag or in a box). Also the doughnuts tasted good. Definitely will be stopping again. Slightly overpriced, but being a small business and how well the store is kept, makes sense.
